Judy Clydene Engstrom was born January 11, 1949, the daughter of Noel and Rachel (Weston) Engstrom, in Bottineau, ND. She was raised and educated in Antler, graduating from Antler High School in 1967.
Judy was united in marriage to Gary K. Hunter July 20, 1968, in Antler. They moved to Minot in 1972, where they raised their two sons, Royce and Wade.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Moose Lodge, and the Magic City Duplicate Bridge Club, all of Minot.
She enjoyed playing cards, bridge, Bingo, Trivia, working jigsaw puzzles, camping, and baking. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving family includes: husband of 44 years, Gary, Minot; sons, Royce Hunter and his wife, April, Fargo, and Wade Hunter, Minot; brother, Marlan Engstrom, Minot; sister, Kim (Dean) Rosberg, Glenburn; brother-in-law, Jerry Jacobs, Buckfield, ME; sister-in-law, Diana (Ken) Sizemore, Sterling, VA; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Connie Jacobs; brother, Renny Engstrom; and brother-in-law, Terry Hunter.
Memorial Service: Friday, February 22, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Minot.
Interment: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
