Mrs. Irma Jean Martin, 80, of Maywood, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra, Mo. Irma was born May 7, 1931, in Kewanee, Ill., to Clyde and Elsie Moore Phillips. Irma was married to Elmer Lee Webster Martin Nov. 27, 1948, in Quincy, Ill. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1977.

Survivors include children, Sharon Broemmer of Donnelson, Iowa, Dennis Martin and wife, Kathy of Taylor, Mo., Linda Foust and husband, Bob of Maywood, Donald Martin and wife, Julie of Taylor, Mo., Melissa Griesbaum and husband, Bill of Taylor, Gina Lynn Rennols and husband, Mike of Maywood; grandchildren, Edward Broemmer, Dori Wenke, Leslie Warner, Melanie Garner, Kyndra Rice, Brock Foust, Lacey Foust, Cody Martin, Dylan Martin, Adam Mast, Symerlyn Rennols, Marissa Rennols and Michael Rennols; great-grandchildren, Rachel Foust, Shelby Martin, Bethany Niffen, Izzy Rice, Heather Wenke, Noah Wenke, Ashley Broemmer, Nick Broemmer, Delaney Warner and Cooper Warner; great-great-grandson, Liam Wenke; sisters, Dorothy Derhake of Quincy, Ill., Betty Fortner of Quincy, Ill., Darlene Reddick of Quincy,Ill.; brother, Kenneth Phillips of Quincy, Ill.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five brothers, Robert, Russell, Leonard, Clyde and Ronald; two sisters, Margaret and Carolyn; son-in-law, Edward Broemmer. Also, a special companion Gene Homan.

Mrs. Martin was a homemaker.

She attended Lutheran Schools in Quincy, Ill.

Mrs. Martin as a member of the Quincy Moose Lodge. She enjoyed country music, cooking, gambling, Sunday meals with her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Taylor.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Rev. Steve Martin will officiate.

Burial will be at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery in Taylor. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 18, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery and/or Maple Lawn Auxiliary.
