Daughter of Silas Hopkins and Malinda Collins Nelson.

Nora probably married John M. Daffron at the beginning of 1886, either in Kentucky or Tennessee. They had four children; Margaret L. 'Maggie' Daffron, Willie Mai Daffron Kirkland, Mary Jane Daffron and Hetty Webster Daffron Redick.

Nora next married James Robert Wilson on May 25, 1904 in Davidson County, Tennessee. They had one child, Ada Louise Wilson. They were divorced by 1910.

Nora Wilson married James Robert Denny on November 14, 1911 in Davidson County, Tennessee. It is not known how long they were married, but James Denny's death certificate gives his marital status as divorced when he died in 1916 and Nora resumed her former married name of Wilson.

Mrs. Nora Wilson died on Saturday, May 21, 1938 at her 415 Russell Street home. She is a 53 year resident of Nashville, a member of the First Baptist Church, and was a member of the National Advisory Committee of the Woodmen of the World.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Burnside, KY and and was first married to John Daffron. Her second husband was the late J.E. Wilson. She is survived by daughters, Misses Maggie and Mary J. Daffron, Mrs. S.S. Kirkland and Mrs. H.M Redick, all of Nashville, and Mrs. P.W. Wheeler of Terre Haute, IN; and by brother J.W. Hopkins of Nashville.
