Born in Anderson County TN and died in Nodaway County, Mo. Daniel was born to John Severs (1797-1873) and Rebecca Vandegriff (1806-1853). He was second of eight children. They were Wm G (1827-1855), Daniel Fletcher(1828-1899), Mary Severs Castillo (1830-1913), Dicy Catherine Severs Chesnut(1831-1882), Eliza Charlotte Severs Lamb(1833-1911), Martha A Severs Lamar(1835-1919), Hugh McCann Severs(1837-1919), and Rebecca Severs Cox (1839-1897). Daniel was noted as being the first customer of the Maryville Bank in Nodaway Co. MO. He married Mary Jane Laugherty (b 1827 Anderson TN-d 1904 Nodaway, MO) on January 25, 1849 in Anderson County, TN. Daniel and Mary Jane Laugherty had seven children. They were: Mary K Severs(1849-1897), Sarah Elizabeth Severs Bradley (1851-1938), William Perry Severs (1854- ), Martha Abigail "Abbie"Severs Parker(1857-1913), Charles Wesley Severs(1858-1941) John Scott Severs(1860-1941), Theodosia E Severs Kinman (1869-1944). This information came from my cousin DML who did extensive research in Nodaway Co. Missouri.
