nee Jennie Montaba, Was for many years a resident of Ced. died Tues. morning at the Wisconsin General Hospital in Madison. She had been ailing for several months.
She was born at Firth, Nebraska on Dec. 13, 1880. She spent her girlhood in Cedar Grove and Port Washington and was married August 8, 1900 in Sheboygan to Thomas Morton.
They lived in Milwaukee for several years and moved to Ced. about 1920. Mr. Morton died on September 23, 1939. She was a member of the Methodist church here and also of the
Lincoln Chapter of the Eastern Star. Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Daniel Bode of Ced., Mrs. Sydney Miller of Madison and Ruth Morton of Los Angeles, Calif.; one son Thomas of
San Diego, Calif.; 3 brothers, Henry Montaba of Ced. and John and Jacob Montaba of Sheboygan; 3 sisters, Mrs. Josephine Eichmann, Miss Louise Montaba and Mrs. Sarah Lindstrom,
all of Sheboygan, and 5 grandchildren. A son Harold preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Sat. at the Bannenberg Funeral Home in Ced. under auspices of Lincoln Chapter
