Michael Stegall, 28, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2005, at his home in Raleigh, N.C.
Born Dec. 17, 1976, he was the son of Kathleen Alman and John Stegall.
He attended Broughton High School and graduated from Caldwell College.
He is survived by his parents, Kathleen Alman of Raleigh, N.C. and John Stegall of McAllen, Texas; brothers, Jason Stegall and wife, Mary of Raleigh, Matthew Stegall of Charlotte, N.C., Jeff Alman and wife, Anne of Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Lynne Alman of Phoenix, Ariz.; and grandparents, Cliff and Delia Stegall of Warrenton, N.C. as well as numerous loving and caring relatives and friends.
Mike loved telling stories and was known for his big heart.
He loved his family and friends most. He loved the mountains, the rain, air-dried sausage, giving gifts and cooking for friends on Saturday mornings after big nights. Mike loved golf, hunting, fishing, movies, cooking "Stegall Burgers," hot cookies at night, ribs and wings, his dog, Annie, and always traveled with his "Little Miami" bag.
We all will miss Mike forever.
Look out for our friends and be thankful we have Mike watching over us. God takes the special ones because he needs them to help in heaven.
