Bruce Morgan Sanders, 63, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Burleson, Texas.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Newport Baptist Church in Newport, Texas.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, Texas.
Arrangements are entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
Bruce was born May 11, 1950 to Dr. Terry and Jurahee (Butler) Sanders in Corsicana, Texas. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1968 where he played football and was a class officer. Bruce attended Baylor University and the University of Texas at Arlington. He enjoyed playing the guitar, and had a great sense of humor and told many colorful stories. Bruce and seven of his closest friends maintained their childhood friendships throughout their lives; they called themselves "The Great Eight." He will be greatly missed, and knowing he trusted Jesus Christ is a great comfort to his family.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Jurahee Ausburn of Cleburne; father, Dr. Terry Sanders and wife, Dorothy of Buffalo Springs; two brothers, Kent Sanders and wife, Karen of Burleson, Blake Sanders and wife, Lisa of Midland; sister, Karen Morris and husband, Steve of Fort worth; numerous nieces and nephews; two beloved dogs, Little One and Julie.
