Jim L. Parker, 57, of San Antonio, TX passed away on December 15, 2004 after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; his children, Stephanie and Scott Harris and Kevin and Jamie Parker; grandchildren, Bryce and Emily Grace Harris; sister, Scooter Durdin; brother, E.W. Parker, Jr.; mother-in-law, Gloria Savoy and beloved poodle, Elvis. Jim was pre-deceased by his parents, Eli and Pat Parker. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and Christian. Jim married the love of his life in 1970 and they settled in San Antonio in 1985 to raise their two children. Jim spent most of his career as an executive at Frost National Bank and retired from real estate with Bradfield Properties shortly after his diagnosis. Jim loved to spend his free time with family, and enjoyed many years of relaxation at the family ranch in Hunt, Texas. The family would like to extend many thanks to the wonderful care Jim received from Dr. Lisa Fichtel, Dr. William Atlas, Dr. Azrenna Thomas, and many other health care professionals. In addition, they would like to extend gratitude to the many friends and family that have provided support and prayers during this difficult time. VISITATION FRIDAY 6:00 P.M - 9:00 P.M. PRAYER SERVICE FRIDAY 7:00 P.M. PORTER LORING NORTH CHAPEL MASS SATURDAY 10:00 A.M. ST. MARK'S the EVANGELIST CATHOLIC CHURCH 1602 THOUSAND OAKS Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park North cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Brain Tumor Foundation at braintumor.org. Arrangements with Porter Loring Mortuary North.
