..She was born Dec. 22, 1883, at Jamesville, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Sarah Hooton Gideon. As a child she moved with her parents to Uniontown and attended the Uniontown schools. On March 1, 1905, she married Clarence R. Ramsey at Uniontown. He died July 14, 1951. The couple farmed for many years in the West Bethel area. In 1959, Mrs. Ramsey moved to Uniontown. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of the Uniontown First United Methodist Church and the West Bethel Ladies Aid Society.
..Surviving are two sons, Paul Ramsey of Uniontown and C. E. Ramsey of Wewoka, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. R. F. (Eithol) Fairbrother of Houston, Tex., Mrs. R. L. (Neva) Vanlandingham of Parsons and Mrs. Ambrose (Ruth) Harmon of Kansas City; 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

..Services were held on Sunday at the Uniontown Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Epp officiating. Burial was in the Uniontown Cemetery.
