She was born on Sept. 30, 1950, in Towanda, a daughter of the late Frank and Hilda (Ellis) Wheeler. Linda was a graduate of Northeast Bradford High School, class of 1970. She was employed at Stakmore Furniture Co., Owego, N.Y., for nearly 30 years. Linda enjoyed watching the races, country music and feeding the birds, although her greatest enjoyment was being surrounded by her loving family and many friends.
Linda is survived by her son, Jody Wheeler of Pawtucket, R.I.; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandie and Ronald Schoonover of Wysox and Bonnie and Charles Holbert of Spencer, N.Y.; her brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Toni Wheeler of Rome and Roger and Pam Wheeler of Kenansville, N.C; a sister-in-law, Jan Ellis of Waverly; a special grandson, Matthew Wheeler of Norwood, Mass.; an aunt, Alga Ellis of Waverly, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Robert Drew; parents, Frank and Hilda Wheeler; and a brother, Duane Ellis.
A time of remembering the special gift Linda was to all of us will be held on Saturday, May 8, at 2 p.m. at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St.,Nichols, with the Rev. James D. Donahoo, pastor of the Sayre Christian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Nichols Cemetery. A period of visitation and sharing memories will be held on Saturday, May 8, from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
