Princetown – Joseph L. Armstrong, 85, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 5th, 2020.
Joe was born in Bainbridge, NY, to his parents, the late John and Mae (Tryon) Armstrong.
He worked as an engineer at the General Electric Company for many years.
Joe was predeceased in 2011 by his wife, whom he married in 1959, Blossom “Marie” Kelly Armstrong, as well as one brother, Jack Armstrong.
He leaves behind his children, Christopher (Sue) Armstrong, Wendy (Bob) Kirkham, Jamie Armstrong, John Armstrong, and five grandchildren. Joe was also a foster father to many others over the years.
Joe also leaves behind his siblings, Ethel (late Richard) Curley, Ted Armstrong, and Dorita Armstrong, along with many nieces and nephews.
Joe will be laid to rest next to his wife at Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge. A private graveside service will be held.
