Brenda Sawyer, 67, of Darien, GA died Tuesday the 28th of May 2013 at St. Joseph Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. She was a lifelong native of McIntosh County. She was born to her loving parents, Wilson Strange and Lucille MacBride Strange on May 14, 1946. She enjoyed time with her animals and was a member of the Golden Girls of McIntosh County.

Ms. Sawyer was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters Terri Sawyer (Al) and Paige Lightsey (James) of McIntosh; a sister Vera Howard of McIntosh; four grandsons, William Woodcock, Chase Rozier, Corey Lightsey and Jason Lightsey; and one great-granddaughter Chloe Woodcock; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 P.M., Friday, May 31, 2013, from the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack Peeler officiating.
