Son of Bert and Bonnie (Douglas) Agee. Graduated from Washakie County High School in 1948.

He joined the Wyoming National Guard and was part of the unit that was called up during the Korean Conflict. He was wounded in Korea and spent time in an Army hospital in Japan before being sent back to Fort Carson, Colo. where he was discharged. He was awarded a Purple Heart for his wounds.

Married Jean A. Miller on December 21, 1963 in Riverton, WY. They had three sons.
