Allen, Naomi
On October 10, 2012, our very dear Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Naomi was 92. She devoted her life to her family and the Lord. She was a kind, loving woman and showed unconditional love to all she knew. She loved ham hocks, neck bones, and cabbage. She liked Elvis Presley, Alan Jackson, doing crossword puzzles, watching old western movies, and the Game Show Network. She will be greatly missed by all , and especially for her black-eyed peas with ham and her coleslaw. She was preceded in death by her husband Al Allen Sr. and her son Marty Allen. She is survived by her children: Al Allen Jr. (Mary Carol), Zane Allen (Karen), Diane Culbertson (Leonard), Dee Morris (Terry), Donna Collins (Nappy), and Patricia Porter. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18 from 10-11am with funeral services immediately following at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W Northern Avenue in Glendale. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of the Valley and to honor Naomi that you would perform a random act of kindness for a stranger. Let her life be proof of God's love.
