WINAMAC — Wilford Dean Bartlett, 69, 105 S. Riverside Dr.,
Winamac, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday in his residence. He had been in failing health for one year.

He was born Feb. 8, 1916, in West Union, Ill., to Charles Lamont and Amanda Sheets Bartlett. He was married Oct. 9,1946, in Winamac, to Helen L. Zellers, who died Feb. 8, 1982. He was married on May 28, 1983, to Freida Jane Dare, who survives.

He lived most of his life in Winamac. He was a former owner, of Winamac Dairy, and was retired from Indiana State Highway Deptartment. He was a member of First Christian Church, Winamac and he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Surviving are three daughters, Susan Brucker (Douglas), Marion, Karen Price (James) and Kathy Sheppard (Robert), both of Winamac; his mother, Amanda Bledsoe, Winamac; one sister, LaVene Bremer, Winamac; and 6 grandchildren. Step daughters include Diane Dorsey, Chicago, Marcia Dorsey, Kankakee, IL., Bridget Justen, Boulder, Colo.; and 4 step grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Frain Mortuary, with Rev. John Sargent officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Full Military Rites.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and after 8 a.m. Wednesday. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.
