Sara Rojas Jimenez went to be with our Lord on May 5, 2011. She was born on December 17, 1916 to Ricardo and Lola Rojas in McNeil, Texas. Sara lived in West Texas most of her life. In December 1970 she married Henry A. Jimenez, Sr. and moved to Georgetown where they started their new life together.
She was employed at Wesleyan Nursing Home until 1981, she then retired and became a homemaker until her illness. Sara was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
Her survivors include her husband, Henry Jimenez of Georgetown, Texas; one son, Jesse Bergil and wife Diane of Plainview, Texas; six stepchildren, Stella Carbaja of Casa Grande, Arizona, Virginia DeJesus of Belton, Texas, Gloria Maes of Boise, Idaho, Josie Hvatum of Vashon, Washington, Henry Jimenez, Jr. of Boise, Idaho and Alexander Jimenez of Austin, Texas; one brother, Pedro Rojas of California; one sister, Petra Salazar of Lampasas, Texas; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by all her knew her.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with a rosary to follow at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown with Father Will Straten officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Liberty Hill, Texas.
