Born in 1952 in Pasadena, CA, to Joan and Richard Brown, spending his childhood in both Massachusetts and Texas. Kent was a proud graduate of Texas A&M, and commissioned as an Army officer in 1975. He served his country at Ft. Benning, Aschaffenburg, Germany, Ft. Bragg, Ft. Ord, Norfolk, Panama, The Netherlands and in Tampa, Florida (SOCOM). He retired from the Army in 2003, continuing his career at Blackbird Technologies and SOCOM until shortly before his passing. Throughout his life, Kent demonstrated his love of family, country, work and colleagues. As a J-3 War Horse, Kent was a valiant warrior throughout his career, and who bravely fought lung cancer for four years. A loving husband and father, Kent leaves behind his wife Jill and children Abigail and Nathan, his mother, Joan and brother, Scott, of Houston, TX. He was predeceased by his father, Richard, in 2012. He was also a beloved member of the Bliss family of Concord, NH. From mountain climbing and parachuting, to scuba diving and running, Kent was known for his ability to conquer many frontiers. His gentle smile and kindness will be greatly missed, and his career and life mark him as a true scholar and gentleman.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
