Catherine "Cat" Crawford, 77, of Springfield, Ill., departed this life on May 24, 2013, at St. John's Hospital. She was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Tupelo, Miss., the daughter of Curtis and Annie Slaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, five sisters, son, Cherry Slaughter, and daughter, Eva Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, George G. Crawford; four sons: Ronnie, Benthy, Daryl, and Chris ; six daughters: Linda , Cassandra, Brenda , Ramona, Loretta and Dorothy ; five brothers; five sisters, and 4 stepchildren:. Catherine also leaves 46 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grand-children, two aunts, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Interment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Walker Funeral Services are in charge of arrangements.
