Chad Caffey Griffin, age 32, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his home in Paris, MS. He was born October 20, 1979 in Grenada, MS to Ronald Eugene, Sr. and Barbara "Bobbie" Poe Griffin of Oakland, MS. Chad was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and was employed as a mechanic for Caterpillar in Greenwood, MS until he became disabled. He was an avid Ole Miss and Giants Football fan and he enjoyed NASCAR racing. He liked flowers, was an excellent cook and loved Paula Deen. Chad loved his babies, and his family meant everything to him.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2013 with Bro. Wayne Thorn and Bro. James Caruthers officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley with Jeremy McClusky, Robert Griffin, Tyler Callahan, Justin Griffin, Nate Griffin, Tim Hughes, Christopher Bauer and Matthew Moorman serving as pallbearers. Henry Jackson and Robbie Ashford will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In addition to his parents, Chad is survived by his fiancé, Amy Harmon of Paris, MS; his sister, Shana Griffin Bauer (Christopher) of Memphis, TN; his brothers, Ronald Eugene Griffin, Jr. and Robert B. Griffin (Melinda) all of Water Valley, MS; his daughters, AftonLynn Griffin of Dixon, TN, Gracie Callahan and Amilyn Callahan both of Paris, MS; his sons, Joseph Griffin of Dixon, TN and Tyler Callahan (Alex) of Paris, MS; his grandson, Tristan Callahan of Paris, MS; three nieces, Kaylee Bauer, Krystin Johnson and Jayme Kazzee; and five nephews, Robert F. Griffin, Justin Griffin, Nate Griffin, Jake Griffin and Matthew Moorman.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Mary Poe and Robert Elton and Louanice Griffin; and an unknown heart donor.
