He was born on October 12, 1947 to P. Carl and Ruth Reid Scorup in Moab, Utah. In 1953 the family moved to Othello, Washington starting the family farm. He went to BYU in Provo, Utah where he met and married Irene Jewitt. This union blessed them with 3 wonderful daughters, Kim, Angie and Shelley. After their divorce Carl lived in Salt Lake City Utah, Pocatello Idaho, Othello Washington then settled in Kennewick, Washington. In 1985 he married Ginny (Haney) Baird who had 1 wonderful daughter, Brooke. Carl had a successful career as a self-employed computer programmer and consultant.
Carl is survived by his wife Ginny of 27 years; four daughters: Kim (Robert) Maddox of Las Vegas, Nevada; Angie (Ken) Jackson of Salt Lake City, Utah; Shelley Lindorff of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Brooke (Thomas) Smitha of Kennewick, Washington. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and eight siblings.
