Mr. Acree, the husband of Alga (sometimes referred to as Olga) Dora Jones Acree, was a cabinet worker. He also served as a Special Policeman and as an employee for the Atlanta City Auditorium.
Mr. Acree was a hard worker. While tearing down a platform, some of the wood fell on him. He incurred wounds on the left of his occipital region and other brain injuries leading to his death. He was taken to the best trauma hospital in Atlanta, Georgia for care; Grady.
He left behind his mother Sally, three brothers; E.S, Otis Edgar and Arthur Booker Acree, his sister Katie, his widow Dora, three daughters; Irene Flournoy, Mrs. D.E. Payne, Miss Frances Mary Acree, and two sons; Charles E. and Ernest Marshall Acree.
