WILLIAMSBURG - William Felix Tinsley, 86, of Williamsburg died Dec. 5, 1996, in Richmond. He was born in Gloucester and lived the early years of his life in Richmond.
After World War II he moved to Williamsburg, where he was a resident for over 45 years. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a colonel in 1966. Additionally, he worked as an operations research analyst for the Army Aviation Laboratory at Fort Eustis and retired there in 1969.
He is survived by two sons, James C. Tinsley of Tallahassee, Fla., and William Thomas Tinsley of Richmond; one daughter, Susan Demeritt of Jamestown, Ohio; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside burial service will be held at Ware Episcopal Church in Gloucester at 2 p.m. Dec. 8.
