He was a native of Bear Creek, Ala., a member of Highland Baptist Church, of Florence, a graduate of UNA, a U.S. Navy veteran and was a retired chemist from TVA.
Glen loved his family and life itself, and Elsie, his wife of 56 years, was the queen of his heart. His grandchildren were a source of great joy.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie; son, Steve Osborn and wife, Desa, of Birmingham; daughter, Jeanne Gaskey and special friend, Jim Young; grandchildren, Kristina Osborn, Stefan Osborn and Jordan Gaskey.
A visitation with the family and friends was held Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with Brother Ronnie Hendricks officiating. Burial followed in Greenview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Ronnie McNutt, Tommy Bohannon, William Tease, Vince Cobb, Mike Trousdale and Kim Tribble.
Honorary pallbearers were the "Kingdom Seekers" of Highland Church Sunday School Class.
Memorials may be made to the Highland Baptist Church Building Fund.
