Mabel F. "Dolly" Corey 92 of Charleston, WV died June 2, 2010 at Meadowbrook Nursing and Rehab. She was born September 28, 1917 in Diamond, WV to the late Thomas Grafton and Mabel F. Stanley. She was also preceded in death by her husband Guy L. Corey.
Dolly was a retired school teacher instructing in the Kanawha County School System retiring from Bonham Elementary School. She was elected to Kappa Delta Phi Education Honor Society, selected to be an Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America in May 1973 and was a 50 year member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Bonne Sue Adams of Fort Littleton, CO; sons John R. Corey of Pittsburgh, PA, Richard L. "Rick" Corey of Charleston, WV; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 7, 2010 2pm at Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Newland Officiating. Entombment will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 3-5pm Sunday at the funeral home.
