Amy M. Shelton, 17, of Valparaiso, IN., passed away on Tuesday, July 28,1998 at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso. She was born Oct. 19, 1980 in Hammond, IN., and was the daughter of Terry and Janice (Dunlap) Shelton. She was a South Haven resident since 1982 and was attending Wheeler High School. She worked at White Castle's in Valparaiso and Gloria Jean's Coffee Shop in the
Southlake Mall. She was a member and president of the FHA Hero's Club andmember of a local theater guild. She attended an Honors English class and had a gift for writing. Amy is survived by her mother, Janis Shelton, and father,Terry Shelton, both of Valparaiso; maternal grandmother, Ellen Dunlap of Oblong, IL; paternal grandparents, Gene and Effie Shelton of Hammond, IN; great
grandmother, Loretta Shelton of Greenville, KY; one sister, Beth Ann Shelton of Valparaiso; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Amy was preceded in death
by her grandfather, George Dunlap and one aunt, Nancy Dunlap. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 1998 at 10 a.m. from the Engel Funeral Home. Interment will take place in McCool Cemetery, Portage,IN. Friends may call on Friday July 31st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Engel Funeral Home, 2700 Willow Creek Road, Portage, IN.
