Their funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, at The Bridge, 1080 Old Greensboro Road in Kernersville. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Stokesdale.
Born on January 16, 1981, Melissa was the daughter of Glenn Chambers and Gail Solomon Gentry. Melissa was an energetic wife, mother and student. She was a member of the Class of '99 at Northwest High School, and was attending Forsyth Technical Community College where she was a pursuing a degree in Nutrition and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She also attended The Bridge in Kernersville.
Surviving are Melissa's husband William Clayborn ‘Clay' Britt, Jr; her parents Glenn Chambers of Stokesdale, Gail and Grant Gentry of Stokesdale; her brothers Michael G. Chambers and Darris Grant Gentry III, of Stokesdale; and half-sister Taylor Dye Chambers of Summerfield.
