CROSSVILLE — Alvah T. Brewer, 78, of Elyria, OH, passed away April 19, 2012, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a short illness. Friends gathered April 23 at Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home in Elyria where the V.F.W. Post #1079 provided services and full military honors. Burial will be today, April 25, at Adkins Cemetery in Crossville.
He was born June 29, 1933, in Crossville. Alvah had served in the U.S. Army and was a core finisher at The Elyria Foundry. He enjoyed playing the lottery, fishing and travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lime (Suggs) Brewer, and three sisters and two brothers.
