Shirley Ella Jean Rush, passed away after a short illness on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the age of 80.

Shirley was born on March 19, 1933 in Okmulgee County the daughter of the late Charlie Britten Birkes and Ella Ethal (Baker) Birkes. Shirley graduated high school from Eufala, Okla. She worked from Boeing in Wichita, Kan. until moving to Miami, Okla. in 1969. Shirley went to work for a furniture plant until working for Cita. She retired in the mid 1990's. Shirley enjoyed traveling in the RV, volunteering at the hospital and belonging to the Red Hats. She had a love for people especially her family. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Oscar "O.C." Rush; and son Steve Rush.

She is survived by her sons: Tim C. Williamson and his wife Becky of Grove, Okla., Terry W. Williamson and his wife Pauline of Grove, Okla., and Roger Rush of Miami, Okla.; two sisters: Juanita Bess of Eufala, Okla., and Anna C. Majors of Grove, Okla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Grove, Okla. with Rev. Jim Paslay, presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Okla..
