Diana Lynn (Kragenbring) Chapin, age 55, of Spicer passed away peacefully surrounded by family from complications of Multiple Sclerosis on August 3, 2012 at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Church of St. Mary, 713 12th St. SW, Willmar, MN, on Saturday, August 11, at 1:30 pm. A Celebration of her Life will follow at the church. Private inurnment will take place at the Oakside Cemetery in Atwater, MN.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Diana's name to Rice Hospice or the charity of your choice. Words of condolence may be submitted to Harvey Anderson Funeral Home at www.hafh.org. Arrangements under the direction of Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, MN.

Diana Lynn (Kragenbring) Chapin was born on August 15, 1956 at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, UT to Gerald and Jane (Pomeroy) Kragenbring. She graduated from New London-Spicer High School in 1974 and attended Willmar Community College. She worked at the Willmar State Hospital until her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis in 1978. Diana continued to live at her home in Spicer until 2002, when she entered Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home. .

Diana will be remembered fondly by family and friends for her strength, kindness and generosity she has shown us. She will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her mother, Jane Kragenbring of Sartell, MN; brother, Jeffrey (and Gretchen) Kragenbring of Atwater, MN; sisters, Mary Sue (and Jim) Burnett of Enid, OK, Cindy King of Minnetonka, MN, Shotsie (and Mark) Strohbeen of New London, MN, Theresa (and Tim) Minor of Reno, NV; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Kragenbring in 2008.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff of Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home, Dr. Kendall Bos, Rice Hospice and numerous friends who provided her with support and comfort throughout the years.
