Son of Blasius and Maria Albrecht of Comal County, Texas. Blasius immigrated as part of Henri Castro's colonization effort on ship Jean Key. The ship left Antwerp on Oct 25, 1843 arrived in Galveston on Jan 2, 1844. Blasius is listed as a founding father of New Braunfels in 1845.
