Horace E. "Jim" BARR, 78, 203 Saner Dr., Akron, died at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday at his residence.
Born in Knox to J. Allen and Sarah BARNETT BARR, He married Norma FLOOR on Feb. 12, 1943 at Canton, S.D. She survives.
He served with the U.S. Army Air Corp during W. W. II. He worked at electronic firms in Illinois and Indiana as well as operated a self-service laundromat in Akron. He retired from Warsaw Coil Company in 1986.
He is also survived by one son; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother Charles B. BARR, Oswego, Ill. He was preecded in death by one daughter Tara Jean BARR; six brothers James Hobart [BARR], W. Montfort [BARR], Allen T. [BARR], Robert V. [BARR], Richard H. [BARR] and Howard BARR; and one sister Elizabeth PENCE.
Services are at. 7 p.m. at the Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with the Rev. Lawrence SEE officiating. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Fulton County Home Health Care
