Lula was born on December 1, 1934 in Burlington, Oklahoma, the daughter of David Barney and Cora Sarah Pettay Paige, and passed away peacefully on Sunday May 26, 2013 at her residence. She was raised and educated in Cherokee. Lula married Cecil Ray Bledsoe (2nd Husband) in Tulsa on July 27, 1975. They were members of the Lutheran Church in Tulsa before moving to Enid and attended Westside Baptist Church as well as Faith Lutheran Church. She worked as a nurse for 30 years, retiring in 1982. They were also members of Coffee Cup Club and Perry Golden Eagles, the C B Club. Lula enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Cecil of the residence, daughter Patricia Ging of Enid, son Bobby Ferguson of Texas, brothers Billy Paige of Winfield, Kansas; Clarence (Chuck) Paige of Enid, Oklahoma; Cloyce Eugene Paige of Pueblo, Colorado; sister Wanda Faye Booth of Wichita, Kansas; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Lula was preceded in passing by her parents, son Donald Sisco, sisters Maxcine Tharp and LaRetha Williams. The family has selected Disabled American Veterans or Hospice, Circle of Love, as appropriate for memorial donations.
