Obituary - UNION APPEAL - Union, Mississippi
John H. James, of Little Rock, passed away after long illness. Early Tuesday morning, the spirit of John H. James, of Little Rock took it's flight to the Great Beyond after a protracted illness of long duration. Mr James was 73 years old. He leaves the following to mourn his demise: Rafe, Luther and Lev, brothers, Union, MS; and Mrs W.R. Moore, of Union, and Mrs Charlie Fulton of Neshoba County, sisters; five sons, A.L., Floyd, Vesper, Carl and Clyde; and three daughters Maud, Etoil and Lucy. The remains of the deceased will be interred in Rock Branch cemetery Wednesday. In life, Mr James was a man whom it was a real pleasure to meet. He invariably met his friends, of whom he had many, with a smile. He was born in Elbert County, Georgia and moved to Mississippi when very young and lived for many years at the place now owned and occupied by J.A. Walton, just over the line in Neshoba County. To his widow, sons, daughters and other relatives, and friends, the APPEAL extends it's heartfelt sympathy.
