Marilyn M. Gay (1927 - 2012)

CUBA - Marilyn M. Gay, 84, of Cuba, formerly of Brockport, passed away Tuesday (Feb. 28, 2012) at Highland Healthcare Center, Wellsville, after a lengthy illness.

Born on June 29, 1927 in Brockport, she was a daughter of Charles and Emma McCarthy Nellis. In June of 1944, she married George J. Gay, who predeceased her in 1990.

Marilyn was a longtime member of the Sports Car Club of America, Rochester. She was an avid reader and walker. She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grand dogs Baxter and Riley.

She leaves behind a son, Merrick (Lynn) Gay, of Bloomfield; two daughters, Nancy (John Korchan) Gay, of Rochester and Carolyn (Bill) Davis, of Cuba; grandchildren James (Marinena) Gay, Melissa (Wayne) Popccki, Laura Robinson, Gillian Pielow, Star Davis and Linsday (Ken) Quinn; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Quinn Davis in 1997.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Brockport.
