Mr. Darrell Wayne Reed, 47, passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2013. He was born April 26, 1966 in Forsyth County to Maynard Reed and Gerry Boles Reed. He was employed in environmental services. Darrell enjoyed camping, short track racing and deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gerry Sue Boles and his grandparents, Ollie and June Boles and Josephine and Milton Reed. He is survived by his father, Maynard Reed of Winston-Salem; his aunt, Gail Perdue of Winston-Salem; a great-aunt, Martha Queen of Winston-Salem, and a special friend, Mary Ann. A graveside funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Mr. James Percival officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until 11:30am on Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
