Irmgard C. Lange (1912 - 2013)

LITTLE VALLEY - Irmgard C. Lange, 101, formerly of Little Valley, passed away Friday (May 17, 2013) in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

She was born April 26, 1912, in Medina, a daughter of the late Adolph and Elizabeth Grabengieser Hellwig. On July 30, 1938, she married Carl F. Lange, who predeceased her in November 1987.

Mrs. Lange was a home economics and early childhood teacher with BOCES for 11 years and was a teacher at Little Valley Central School for four years.

Mrs. Lange was one of the oldest members of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Otto and was a member of its Ladies Aid. She also was a member of the Home Bureau and the sewing club.

She is survived by a three sons, Joseph Lange, LeRoy (Diane) Lange and James (Betina) Lange; three daughters, Jean (Michael) Knazik, Joan (James) Lindhurst and Winifred Lange; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Deloris Erhart; a brother, Edwin Hellwig; and two sisters, Gertrude Hellwig and Henrietta Garret.

Burial will be at Liberty Park Cemetery in Cattaraugus.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Otto.
