He resided in Wilmington, Delaware prior to the war.
Donald was "Killed In Action" in the Quang Nam Province during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Donald is honored on Panel 59W, Row 21 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Washington, D.C.

Donald enlisted in the Marines 13 July 1955, at a recruiting office in Wilmington one day after his 17th birthday. His last reenlistment was 19 June 1964, while he was at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina.
When Donald arrived in Vietnam 23 January 1968, he was assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. The battalion was participating in Operation Mameluke Thrust with Alpha Company operating in the vicinity of Cu Ban (3) and 2 kilometers south southeast of the Liberty Bridge and 25 kilometers southwest of Danang City, when Alpha Company was engaged by hostile forces. Donald died as a result of a gunshots to the chest and head from hostile rifle fire.
SSgt Cuff served his country for 12 years.
Survived by his wife, Tomiko Cuff and his adopted daughter; Donella T Cuff of 1115 Walnut Street, Wilmington, Delaware and his parents, Harry and Mary E Cuff Sr of 923 Plane Street North, Wilmington, Delaware.
