With over 50 years of experience in the hotel industry, John Q. Hammons has built and developed nearly two hundred hotels across the nation including the Chateau on the Lake in Branson, Missouri. He was one of the first Holiday Inn franchisees and is now one of the largest owners of Embassy Suites hotels. He has donated more than $100 million to Missouri State University and other institutions around Springfield (MO) and nationwide.
