He is survived by his wife of 34 years; Margaret Adams Abney, whom he married on April 10th, 1971: one daughter; Melissa (and John) Adams, Winchester, Kentucky: four brothers; Marvin (and Margie) Abney, Arkansas, Benny (and Margaret) Abney, Massachusetts, Herman (and Peggy) Abney, Richmond, Kentucky and Billy Abney, Irvine, Kentucky: one sister; Opal (and Shannon) Nolan, Science Hill, Kentucky: 2 grandchildren; Zachary Kyle and Katie Clare Adams, Winchester, Kentucky: four nieces: five nephews.
