Stanley R. Baker, 31, Grandview, died Nov. 18, 1988 at Truman Medical Center. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Baker had been a salesman for White Industries Inc., Bates City, Mo., since 1987. Earlier he was a salesman for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the Belton Assembly of God Church. Survivors include a son, Casey Baker, and a daughter, Brooke Baker, both of Independence; his parents, the Rev. Bill Baker and Beverly Baker, and a brother, Bradley Baker, all of Belton; and his paternal grandmother, Elsie Baker, Kansas City, Kan. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church; burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church. The family suggests contributions to the Stanley R. Baker memorial fund in care of the church.
