CASPER, WY -- Funeral services for Casper resident Grant Adams, 63, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, in Casper at the Grace Bible Baptist Church, 405 S. Park by life-long friend Pastor Bob Hines of Broadway Avenue Baptist Church in Boise, Idaho. Interment will be at the Glenrock Cemetery.

Grant went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday morning June 2, after a courageous battle with bone cancer. A special thanks to all the staff at Hospice, Wyoming Medical Center and especially doctors Tooke, Tobin and Mills. Grant died peacefully in his home in Casper surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born on January 20th, 1942 in Utica, Kansas. Grant was raised in Wyoming and Texas. It was in Laramie, Wyoming that Grant trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior while he was in the third grade and it was while he was in Abilene, Texas that he fell in love with and married his wife of 43 years, Sandra (Tarrant) Adams, two decisions that changed his life and those around him.

Grant will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and his giving heart. He was skilled in painting and drywall and touched many lives as he loved to work around people. He loved 1970's Ford pick-ups, hunting and fishing and he especially loved to guide people with his friend Steve Steinle. He also looked forward to each hunting season so he could make some "memories" with his good friends, the Barker family of Glenrock.

Grant was called to the ministry to preach in 1964 and for the past 41 years has been faithful to that call. He pastored churches in Glenrock, Kaycee and Casper for the past 27 years and along the was has started and nurtured many other churches in the Northwest. He will always be remembered as a peoples Pastor. He loved the Lord and He loved people. Even while in the hospital he was found faithfully sharing his faith in Christ in his usual loving way. He lived out the truth of God's Word in II Timothy 4:6-8. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed as a friend, pastor, counselor, brother, father and husband.

Survivors include his wife Sandra of 43 years; his daughter Brenda and her husband of Casper; his two sons Steve and his wife of Casper; Tim and his wife of Gooding, Idaho; three sisters, Susie Tatum of Hawley, Texas, Carolyn Price of Stonefort, Illinois, Judy Womack of Hawley, Texas, and one brother Bill Collins of Abilene, Texas; six grandchildren and numerous friends and family.

Grant was preceded in death by his mother, Pansy Harper.

The family would appreciate any memorials given to the "Missions Account" at the Grace Bible Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1245, Casper, WY., 82602.

The family will receive friends and visitors from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Bustard's Funeral Home & Crematory. BUSTARD'S FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY CASPER, WYOMING
