Ray A. Wilson, age 76, a resident of Cleveland and formerly of Birchwood, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 at his home

following a lengthy illness. Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Stella Jenkins Suttles and Drew Wilson. His brother, Eugene Wilson also

preceded him in death. Mr. Wilson was retired from Magic Chef/Maytag with 27 years of service. He enjoyed Baseball and was a huge Atlanta Braves Fan. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and was of the Church of God Faith. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ruth Wilson of Cleveland, his children, Rose Stanbery and her husband Dr. W. C. Stanbery of Cleveland, Katherine Moynihan and her husband Stewart of Georgetown, Sylvia Riley and her husband Jason and Eunice Wilson all of Cleveland, his grandchildren, Matthew, Chad and Cecily Slifko, Tabatha Payne, Brandon Horton, Justin, Dusty and Kristin Ferry, his great grandchildren, Issac Casteel, Heath Ferry, Logan and Rayley Payne, his siblings, Bob Wilson of Dalton, Georgia, Bernice Wright of Birchwood, James "Bud" Suttles of Georgetown, Phillip Suttles and Billy Suttles

both of Birchwood and Beth "Bess" Robertson of Ooltewah. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:00 from the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend David Evans and Reverend Kevin Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the McInturf Cemetery. The

family will receive friends from 5 until 9 P. M. Saturday at the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the

arrangements
