Jim Manning, 75, of Crestview, Fla., passed away Thursday, May 23, to be with our Lord. Jim was born in Crowville, La. He loved his country and served honorably beginning in the U.S. Navy and retiring as a CWO3 in the U.S. Army with over 21 years active duty, including three tours in Vietnam. He served as a boatswain mate and vessel master during his time of service. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, Army Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Jim was a great father, loving husband and proud grandpa! He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris; sons, Eric (wife Connie), Scott (wife Kirsten); daughter, Nancy (husband Frank); and his eight grandchildren, Robert, Sara, Lindsey, Shawn, Rachelle, Luke, Chris and Ryan. He is also leaving behind his brother, Earl; and sister, Earline; as well as many nieces and nephews.
