THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, January 4, 1942, p. 7: "Mrs. E. S. Crowley Dies At Home Here Friday; Funeral Set Sunday - Mrs. Josephine Crowley of 370 Clarksville St., died Friday at 6:55 p.m. at the Sanitarium of Paris after a month's illness. The Rev. J. V. Berglund of First Methodist Church will conduct the funeral service Sunday at 2 p.m. At the residence, the Rev. W. R. Howell of Atlas assisting, and interment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery by Manton-Fry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Marion Shelton, J. D. House, Jr., Burnett Bridges, Charles Williams, Alvin Yates and Carl Haley, Stewards of First Methodist Church will be honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Crowley was born in Louisisana, February 20, 1863. She leaves a son, Ed Crowley, living South of Paris; a daughter, Mrs. Roy C. Bridges here, and three grandchildren."
