Harry Emerson Armstrong Wilt Henman was born the bastard son of Anna Armstrong, daughter of Frank Armstrong & Phoebe Jane Kemp Armstrong Henman on June 04,1902. His father Lewis T. Wilt and his mother never married. Lewis was seeing two women and he married the other women as they were both pregnant. Pheoebe Jane Kemp Armstrong, Harry's grandmother married Johnathan Lezenia Henman on August 1st, 1889 after returing to Ohio with her daughter Anna Maud after her first husband Frank Armstrong died in Kansas. In the summer months Harry would go live with his step father's son Cory Elso Henman and help with the farm work. There he met and worked with his step cousins Ralph Lambert, William Joseph and Robert Wilson Henman. As of this date Robert, age 98, remembers Harry and that they were good friends. During this time he took the name Henman as his mother had also taken the name of her mothers new husband. After some disagreements with the Henman family he went back to calling himself Armstrong. Later he returned to calling himself Henman after moving to Muncie where his mother Anna Maud had moved after she married a man with the same name, Armstrong. His mother died in Dec, 1972. His grandmother, Phoebe Jane Kemp Henman died Aug 4, 1931 and is buried in the Plattsville cemetery in Shelby county ohio beside her second husband Johnathan L. Henman. The family in Muncie disclaims they are related to this branch of Henman's.
