Catherine O. Jaeger, 81, of Dubuque, formerly of Worthington, Iowa, died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Worthington, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, Iowa, where there will be a parish scripture service at 5 p.m.

Mrs. Jaeger worked at the post office for 14 years, at St. Paul's hot lunch program for school children for 16 years, and was a homemaker.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1916, in Farley, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Almeda (Stuart) LaPage. She married Eugene J. Jaeger on Aug. 16, 1933, at St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, Eugene, of Dubuque; three sons, Eugene C., of Dubuque, Ronald (Mary), of Key West, Iowa, and Edward (Margaret), of Monticello, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Peg LaPage; and a daughter-in-law, Eileen Jaeger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Francis, Arnold and Ansel LaPage; a sister, Leona Bender; and a son, Charles Jaeger.
