Russell Eugene Hoffman passed away peacefully at home on Monday May 20th, 2013.
He was a lifelong businessman, retailer, and antique dealer. Russell was born at the West Side Osteopathic Hospital in York, PA on April 8th, 1949 and graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1967. He attended St. Francis College.
He resided in East Berlin until 5th grade when the family moved to Camp Hill.
He was predeceased by his loving mother Vera Nerses Hoffman, step mother Barbara Hoffman, Ginny Nerses Giso and her husband Fred Giso of Providence, Rhode Island, Charlie Hoffman, Jake Hoffman, Raymond Hoffman, and Evelyn Hoffman.
He is survived by his father, Harold E. Hoffman of Ashburn, VA, Uncle Harry Nerses of Rhode Island, Victor Nerses of New York, brother Gregory Michael Hoffman and his wife Barbara of Camp Hill, step sister Tammy McClure, Virginia, and Margaret Hoffman of York, his dearest cousins Charlie, Jake, and Paula Hoffman, his lifelong friend, Arlene Rainville "Rain" Hess and God daughter Leisa "Brooke" Hess.
Russell was well known in the antique and decorating communities, had antique stalls in various venues over the past 30 years. He enjoyed his time at various clubs such as the Mechanicsburg Club, Enola Sportsmen's Club, and the Dillsburg VFW.
His laughter, lifelong generosity, and camaraderie will be missed by his family, and many friends.
Services will be held Friday, May 31, 2013 at Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 N. Enola Drive, Enola, PA 17025. Visitation will begin at 10am, service starts at 11am. Minister Larry McConnell of the Trinity Lutheran Church East Berlin to officiate. Inurnment will be private in Providence, Rhode Island.
