Cornelius Harwell Dies in Putnam Co.

On March 27th at his home in Putnam county Mr. Cornelius Harwell died. His funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Hemperley's Funeral Home in Madison, Rev. W.S. Adams conducting. The place of internment was Madison city cemetery. The deceased was the son of Heck Harwell and Adaline Cain. He was born in Morgan county in October 1873, being 66 years at the time of his death. His wife, who survives him, was Miss Verner Pennington. Six children were born to them, all still living: Adelaide, Martha, Verner, Crystal, C.G. and Eugene. C.G. is in the navy. Mr. Harwell was a member of the Godfrey Baptist Church. He was of distinguished ancestry, the Harwell name ranking high in the annals of Middle Georgia history. Our sympathy goes out to the loved ones he left behind.
