RICHARDSON, Nathan Powell, 20, of Goose Creek, S.C., formerly of Scottsville, died Monday, May 20, 2013. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alfred Kaulfers Jr. He was born on August 14, 1992, in Richmond, to Seth and Lisa Jeanette Kaulfers Richardson. Nathan was serving his country in the U.S. Navy, where he was attending Nuclear Power School, achieving the rank of Machinist's Mate Petty Officer, Third Class. He devoted his talents to many projects, including working on his 1968 Mustang, working in the family business, and working on the construction of his family's home. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and sailing with his family. Whatever activity he was engaged in, people were drawn to Nathan's infectious smile and helpful attitude. He is survived by his parents, Lisa and Seth Richardson of Scottsville; his sister, Laurel Richardson of Budapest, Hungary; his maternal grandmother, Jeannette Kaulfers of Midlothian; his paternal grandparents, Glenn and Lauretta Richardson of Alberta; his maternal aunts and uncles, Joy and Steven Glass, and David and Monica Kaulfers; his paternal aunts and uncles, Glenn Richardson Jr., Ross and Tracy Richardson, Kyle Richardson, and Elizabeth Clarke; cousins, Camille, Walker, Emma, Christopher, Nicholas, Reed, and Kyle; his loving and supportive girlfriend, Sarah Ragosta; and a host of extended family and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at the Amelia Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, Va. Memorial contributions in Nathan's memory may be made to the Glenmore Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1012, Dillwyn, Va. 23936-1012, or the Scottsville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
