Joseph C. Bryson 87, of Lemoyne passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2013 in ManorCare, Camp Hill. Joe was born on March 14, 1926 in Harrisburg and is a son to the late George and Margaret (Peters) Bryson. He retired from the UGI Corp., as a mechanic. He was a member of Union Local 1941 IBEW, serving as treasure for 30 yrs., Life member of the American Legion, Post 984, West Fairview where he served as Commander, Vice Commander, and other offices within the Post., Served as treasure for the West Fairview School Assoc., member of Gold Wing Riders Assoc., past local Chapter K director. Joe was also an avid photographer and motorcyclist. He served his country in the Army in WWII, European Theatre, and in the Korean War. Surviving is his loving wife Gertrude H. Bryson, a son, Pete Bryson of Halifax, 3 daughters, Toni Bryson - Beshore, of Lemoyne, Linda Bryson of Etters, Tina Kirkpatrick of New Cumberland, a step son, Scott Longey of New Cumberland, 2 step daughters, Leslie Brandt of Palmyra, Traci Coderre of Daytona, brother George Bryson of Enola, sister Peg Lighty of Enola, 7 Grandchildren, 10 step Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 7 step Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews. In addition to his parents Joe is predeceased by brothers, Richard and Donald Bryson and a step son Steven Longey. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Musselman Funeral Home. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 in the funeral home.
